Mommas & Llamas- Mother’s Day Workshop - Round Rock

Take Mom out for a fun day of painting OR take Dad out to hand paint a special treasure for Mom! Join Kim and Donna for step by step instructions to create a cute mama llama and precious baby llama using acrylic paints on 11x14 canvases. Mom will love it!

Expressive Drawing - Taylor

This class will be focused on using a few simple tools to loosely develop a drawing style that will translate easily into painting. We will be paying attention to elements and principles of design like line, edge, shape, value, proportional relationships, and composition. Poppies in Watercolor - Georgetown

Geometric Abstraction - Taylor

Geometric abstraction is the art of expressing ideas and emotions through lines and shapes. In this workshop, you will explore the creation of geometric abstraction through the process of acrylic painting. Using paper or canvas board, you will design and paint geometric compositions in at least two layers that you will be able to take home after just one three-hour session. No previous experience is required to attend — all you need is an imagination and a desire to express it!

Leaves of Clay - Round Rock

Have you been wanting to try your hand at ceramics? Join Cordovan clay teacher Kim Block to create beautiful hand formed dishes using Mother Nature’s leaves. You will be able to choose from a variety of choices for inspiration! You will create one large and one small dish with choices of shape and color. Beautiful specialty glazes will be available for your choosing. On Day 1, you will be taught how to use clay and tools to form your pieces. Cordovan will then fire them for you so that the fancy glazes can be utilized. On Day 2*, you will be taught how to glaze your pieces. Cordovan will again fire them and will let you know when they are ready for pickup.

*If you are unable to attend on Day 2 please let us know and we will be happy to set up another day for you to come in.

Layering Acrylics For Effects - Round Rock

A class centered on learning to texture and layer acrylics with acrylic mediums to get cool effects and create interesting compositions. We’ll dedicate attention to positive and negative spaces and touch on carrying these new techniques to mixed media.

Introduction to Oil Painting Techniques for Beginners - Taylor

Always wanted to paint, but never knew where to start? No art experience? No Problem! This 3 hour course introduces students to the basics of oil painting. No previous painting experience is required. Oil paints and basic art supplies will be used in this class. This class uses a “learning by doing” approach to help students quickly grasp basic painting techniques.

Lovely Landscape in Watercolor - Cedar Park
