The Art & Science of Photography - Georgetown

Cordovan is proud to bring TEXAS PARKS & WILDLIFE Magazine's chief photographer, and EMMY award winning filmmaker, Earl Nottingham to lead a nature focused photography workshop! The session will cover the artistic components of strong photography including composition, lighting and color. Next, he will cover the "nuts and bolts" of the camera and discuss basic camera features such as shutter speed, f/stops and lens choices. Finally, we will venture outside to practice what we've learned. The class is for any level adult. Students should bring any type of camera including smartphones. Seating will be limited.
Leaves of Clay - Round Rock

Have you been wanting to try your hand at ceramics? Join Cordovan clay teacher Kim Block to create beautiful hand formed dishes using Mother Nature’s leaves. You will be able to choose from a variety of choices for inspiration! You will create one large and one small dish with choices of shape and color. Beautiful specialty glazes will be available for your choosing. On Day 1, you will be taught how to use clay and tools to form your pieces. Cordovan will then fire them for you so that the fancy glazes can be utilized. On Day 2*, you will be taught how to glaze your pieces. Cordovan will again fire them and will let you know when they are ready for pickup.
*If you are unable to attend on Day 2 please let us know and we will be happy to set up another day for you to come in.
