Dotti Berry is an engaging, enthusiastic, and empathetic Teaching Artist who enjoys joyously instructing students of all ages. When she is not in the studio or teaching art classes, you can find Dotti paddling a waterway or hiking a trail with sketchbook and paints. She is an award-winning & published artist with a B.F.A. and a B.S. in design and art from Louisiana State University. Her art is in private collections around the world and in institutions in the Southern U.S. She has teaching artist certifications from The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum NYC’s Art Education Center and the John F. Kennedy Center’s Teaching Artist Institute. She studied with Master painters at Silvermine Art School in Connecticut. She has spent summers painting at Weir Farm National Historical Park, the only National Park devoted to painting, and an important site in the tradition of American Impressionists. Dotti is a lifelong learner who continues her professional studies with internationally and nationally recognized artists. Her mentors and artistic legacy have included Master Painter Michael Crespo, watercolorist Judi Betts (AWS, NWS) Master Impressionist Dmitri Wright (Valedictorian of his class at The Cooper Union and mentored by Wolf Kahn), and others. She has over 20 years of classroom experience including museums, art schools, workshops, plein air excursions and private events.
