Kat fell in love with ceramics during her undergraduate years at the University of North Texas where she obtained a degree in Drawing and Painting and a Master’s degree in Merchandising. Ultimately it was the clay that remained her steadfast muse, drawing her back time and again to the potter’s wheel where she finds solace and inspiration.
When she’s not shaping clay or guiding eager learners through the intricacies of pottery, Kat can be found immersed in the world of art markets, both online and in person. Her work, influenced by elements of magic, fantasy, and the beauty of nature, seeks to enchant and transport those who encounter it. From the sculptural intricacies to the carefully pulled handle that fits snugly in your hand, each piece is crafted with the intention of elevating the ordinary into the realm of the extraordinary.
Kat is thrilled to embark on this journey as a pottery teacher, eager to ignite the same passion and wonder in her students that clay has ignited within her. She hopes she is able to help all her students see that every lump of clay holds the promise of something truly magical.
