Yaresia Monet Perez is a Hispanic artist, born in the Rio Grande Valley that specializes in ceramics, amongst other mediums. She discovered her love of clay in her college years at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Her pieces are deeply influenced by her cultural heritage in the RGV, formative childhood experiences, and the girlhood that she found herself in with her friends.
