Nora Barber, artist & educator

Nora Barber graduated with honors from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, in 1992, with a BFA in Fine Arts. She majored in ceramics and minored in sculpture.  Nora then worked as a designer in the production art industry working in pottery, fabric, and painting studios. She wanted to share her love of art with others, so she became a high school Art teacher in 1998, and has since taught Stone Sculpture, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, and Advanced Placement Studio Art classes over the years. Nora’s artwork has been juried into museum and gallery shows. She has travelled the country to continue her studies, taking an internship with a portrait painter, and participating in Clay and Painting workshops. She has been a featured artist in newspapers and online newsletters.
