Heather Johns Kasper first learned to draw from her father, who taught her to draw her own hand at a young age. She has a BA in fine art and worked professionally as a graphic designer for companies such as Seiko, Fossil, and Nike for more than 10 years. In 2010, Heather and her husband quit their jobs to lead a medical team in Kenya. Now immersing herself in the fine arts full-time, she is concentrating on painting and mixed-media work. Her latest works, the Iconic Animal Portrait Series, will include animals of all types.
Heather finds inspiration from her travels around the world and her time living abroad, the New Mexico landscape of her early years and the live oak pastures of her current home in Texas, her broad love of animals, and her own colorful imagination.
